1. IndusInd Bank: Profit Jumps 46.5%, Beats Estimates

Private lender IndusInd Bank reported a 46.5% rise in June-quarter net profit to Rs. 1,002 crore, comfortably ahead of the CNBC-TV18 estimate of Rs. 725 crore. NII rose 1% to Rs. 4,685 crore. Asset quality improved too, with gross NPA at 3.25% and net NPA at 0.95%, while provisions fell to Rs. 1,340 crore. A beat of this size on both profit and asset quality could drive a strong opening move.

2. Dr Reddy’s: Profit Crashes 69%

Pharma major Dr Reddy’s delivered the quarter’s big disappointment. Net profit fell 69% to Rs. 443.5 crore, revenue declined 6% to Rs. 8,070.5 crore, and EBITDA dropped 55% to Rs. 1,009 crore, with the EBITDA margin collapsing from 26.7% to 12.5%. The numbers were weaker than even the Street’s lowered expectations, putting the stock firmly on the back foot today.

3. United Spirits: Profit Up 51.6%

Liquor maker United Spirits beat estimates handily. Net profit rose 51.6% to Rs. 391 crore against the CNBC-TV18 estimate of Rs. 316 crore, while revenue grew 6% to Rs. 2,703 crore, also above expectations.

4. HPCL: Shock Loss of Rs 11,526 Crore

State-run oil marketer HPCL posted a net loss of Rs. 11,526.4 crore for the June quarter, a dramatic swing from the Rs. 4,901.5 crore profit in the previous quarter. EBITDA slumped to a loss of Rs 16,141 crore, even as revenue rose 22.3% to Rs. 1.41 lakh crore. The company blamed weak marketing margins and the West Asia crisis for the damage. 5. UCO Bank: Steady Quarter

PSU lender UCO Bank grew net profit 8% to Rs. 656.3 crore, with NII up a healthy 17% to Rs. 2,808 crore. Asset quality improved, with gross NPA at 2.08% and net NPA at just 0.25%, while provisions dropped to Rs. 234.6 crore.

6. Shoppers Stop: Losses Narrow

Retailer Shoppers Stop grew revenue 11.2% to Rs. 1,291.4 crore and narrowed its net loss to Rs. 14.3 crore from Rs. 15.7 crore a year earlier. EBITDA rose 9.2% to Rs. 187.4 crore, though the margin eased slightly to 14.5%.

7. Nippon Life AMC: Profit Up 27.2%

Asset manager Nippon Life India AMC posted a 27.2% rise in net profit to Rs. 504 crore on revenue that grew 26.4% to Rs. 767 crore, driven by a stronger asset management business. With SBI Funds Management newly listed, AMC stocks are drawing extra attention this season.

8. Sona BLW: Two JVs With DENSO

The day’s biggest corporate announcement: auto components maker Sona BLW will form two joint ventures with Japan’s DENSO for electric and hybrid powertrain systems in India. DENSO will hold 51% in the four-wheeler JV, while Sona BLW will hold 51% in the two and three-wheeler EV JV. DENSO will invest Rs. 1,750 crore in the venture. A marquee global partnership of this scale could re-rate the stock.

9. HEG: Margins Expand

Graphite electrode maker HEG grew net profit 16.7% to Rs. 122.3 crore, with revenue up 11.1% to Rs. 680.8 crore and EBITDA surging 42.5% to Rs. 150.6 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded sharply from 17.3% to 22.1%.

10. Schaeffler India: Double-Digit Growth

Auto components firm Schaeffler India reported a 13.4% rise in net profit to Rs. 325.7 crore on revenue growth of 17.3% to Rs. 2,761 crore. EBITDA rose 16% to Rs. 499 crore, with the margin marginally softer at 18.1%.

11. Gandhar Oil: Profit Quadruples

Specialty oils maker Gandhar Oil delivered a standout quarter: net profit jumped from Rs 44.13 crore to Rs 179 crore, revenue grew 71.2%, EBITDA reached Rs 249.2 crore, and the margin improved to 15.7%, a big step up from last year.

12. IIFL Finance: Profit Soars 189.3%

NBFC IIFL Finance was the quarter’s percentage-gains champion. Net profit surged 189.3% to Rs. 675.1 crore, NII grew 54.8% to Rs. 2,003.9 crore, and provisions more than halved from Rs. 512 crore to Rs. 294.2 crore, powering the sharp turnaround.

13. NACL Industries: Murugappa Boost

Agrochemical company NACL Industries, which recently became part of the Murugappa Group, grew net profit 59.8% to Rs. 20.84 crore from Rs. 13.04 crore a year earlier, on the back of improved operations.

The June-quarter earnings parade continues on Thursday. 3i Infotech, Banaras Beads, Capital Small Finance Bank, Chennai Petroleum (CPCL), Cipla, Coromandel International, Indiabulls and Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) all report their April-June numbers today, keeping these counters on watch through the session.
