Lohia Corp IPO Opens Today: Rs. 492 Crore Raised From Anchor Investors Including Citigroup, Nomura and SBI Life. Check Price Band, Lot Size and All Details

Textile machinery maker Lohia Corp enters the primary market with strong institutional backing. The company raised Rs. 492.1 crore from anchor investors on the eve of its IPO, which opens for public subscription today, Thursday, 23 July 2026, and closes on Monday, 27 July. Marquee global names including Citigroup, Societe Generale and Nomura feature in the anchor book, alongside domestic heavyweights like SBI Life Insurance. Here is everything you need to know before bidding, with every number from the anchor allocation to the lot size.

Anchor Round: Rs 492.1 Crore at Rs 425

A day before opening, Lohia Corp informed the exchanges that it allocated 1,15,79,133 equity shares to anchor investors at Rs. 425 per share, the upper end of the price band, raising Rs. 492.1 crore. A fully priced anchor round at the top of the band is generally read as a signal of confident institutional demand heading into the public subscription window.

Who Invested in the Anchor Book

The anchor list mixes global and domestic institutions. Marquee participants include Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, Societe Generale (ODI), Nomura Singapore, SBI Life Insurance and Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance.

On the mutual fund side, allocations went to ICICI Prudential Smallcap Fund, Tata Business Cycle Fund and Kotak Multicap Fund, among others. Of the total anchor allocation, 73,17,695 shares (about 63%) went to seven domestic mutual funds through 13 schemes, a healthy sign since domestic MF anchor participation tends to indicate longer-holding institutional interest.

Pure OFS: Who Is Selling

The issue is entirely an offer for sale of up to 2,59,31,407 equity shares, which works out to roughly Rs 1,102 crore at the upper band. The sellers are the promoters, Raj Kumar Lohia, Amit Kumar Lohia, Gaurav Lohia and Ritu Lohia, along with other selling shareholders Alok Kumar Lohia, Anurag Lohia and Anuja Lohia.

Since there is no fresh issue, the company will not receive any proceeds; the money goes to the selling shareholders. Investors should factor the pure-OFS structure into their evaluation: the listing provides an exit for the promoter family rather than fresh growth capital for the business.

Pre-IPO Deal: Promoters Sold Rs 294.9 Crore

In an advertisement published in the Financial Express on 22 July, the company disclosed that promoters Gaurav Lohia and Amit Kumar Lohia sold shares worth nearly Rs. 294.9 crore ahead of the IPO to leading financial institutions, including Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance, Motilal Oswal Value Migration Fund Series I, Spark Midas Investment Fund I and Convivial Advisors LLP. Institutional buying at the pre-IPO stage adds another layer of price discovery before the public issue.
